A Timely Financial Thriller Awaits in Arbitrage

Releasing in theaters nearly one year after the launch of the Occupy Wall Street and the 99 Percent Movement, is a new financial and morally corrupt thriller, Arbitrage.  The film is the feature-directing debut of writer Nicholas Jarecki.  His work often focuses on larger than life characters working in industries where power and corruption rule.  Arbitrage is no exception, as the film is about the rise and fall of a billionaire hedge fund manager, Robert Miller (Richard Gere).

At first appearance Miller seems to be the definition of success with a perfect business and family life. He has built a life that allows himself and his family all the wealth and privilege they could dream of. But, Miller is not all his business, wife (Susan Sarandon) and daughter (Brit Marling) believe him to be. He has a secret life rich with fraud, lies, infidelity and even murder.
