Is Putting Advertisement in Email Campaign Acceptable?

Due to the popularity of email marketing, many Internet marketers are in favor of inserting advertisements (ads) into their email campaigns, while many others may have opposing idea in this regard. Yet many others may not have strong opinion about placing ads on email, and therefore are neutral about this technique.
