Deshiloh Stanley wasn’t about to let his team lose on Saturday.
The South High School senior guard took over in crunch time and led the Colts to a hard-fought 56-47 victory over Windsor in the second round of the Class 4A state boys basketball tournament at the Southwest Motors Events Center.
The win propelled second-seeded South into the Sweet 16 of the 48-team tournament for the third consecutive year. The Colts are 18-6 and meet No. 15 Vista PEAK Prep at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Events Center.
