MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Texas (4-3) finished up a come-from-behind victory over Tulane and decisively put away Tulsa in an afternoon consolation round contest Saturday on the final day of competition at the Blue-Gray Tennis Classic.
The Longhorns began a match against Tulane on Friday with doubles and trailed the Green Wave before resuming the match Saturday morning in singles. Senior Neda Koprcina posted a 6-0, 6-3 win over Kyla Klier at second singles, and UT freshman Petra Granic finished off the Green Wave’s Sade Atkinson by a 6-0, 6-1 count at third singles.
Freshman Anna Turati locked up a 6-1, 4-6, 6-0 win over Ivone Alvaro at fourth singles, and sophomore Katie Poluta closed out a 6-4, 6-0 win over Christina Sisti at sixth singles, as Texas registered its 4-2 win over Tulane.
